Flip Chart for When He Comes Again

Easter is sneaking in a footling early this yr, so I'm sure many have already started adding in some Easter songs in their repertoire. If y'all click on the Easter link on the side bar under
"This 'n That" , there are a couple of other Easter flip charts as well as some ideas.

One of my favorites,  in my long list of favorites, is "When He Comes Again".  This is REALLY one of my husband's favorites and he thinks we NEVER sing it enough. Yep, I know this is not categorized as an Easter song, just I dear singing it at Easter fourth dimension because it is most
Christ, and after all, Easter  is a not bad reminder of our Savior, his life, his love, his example, his death, his resurrection and most importantly, his Amende  and considering of his Amende, I will i solar day be able to see my Savior and Heavenly Begetter again. So I recollect information technology is a perfect song to sing at Easter time—really, anytime is a nifty time to sing information technology.

SINGING IN THE ROUND
One mode to teach this vocal is to assign each class one of the questions to sing and and so everyone sings the last part together. Rotate the questions/phrases and repeat until every grade has had a plow singing each of the questions. For motion, you could have them stand and sing on their turn or for more involvement, you could do this every bit what I more formally telephone call "Singing in the Round".   Basically, you mail each of the question phrases or their flip nautical chart pages on each of the four walls around the room, e.k. one wall would have, "I wonder when he comes again, volition herald angels sing?", then the next wall would have posted, "Volition earth be white with drifted snow, or will the world know spring?" and so along. Assign each class to stand by one of the walls forth with their teacher(s). They get 1/two—1 minute to work on their part. Accept a timer or bong to ring when time is up. That helps to become their attention. And so everyone turns around and faces you—y'all'll exist standing in the center of the room. You turn and face the first class and lead them as they sing their office, turning and leading each class equally you go. When you finish the song, each class moves rotating to the next wall and phrase of the song. Echo the process. For the little ones, the teachers will really demand to help their class. If you have combined JR & SR, mix the older kids in with the younger kids.

CHOOSE THE Correct WORDS
Another way to teach the song is to listing groups of words with 3 words in each group on the chalkboard or you could print word strips. The group of words will include a keyword from the phrase and two similar words not in that phrase. In that location are two groups of words per phrase.  To play, yous will hand the eraser to a child and brainstorm singing the song. The kid needs to quietly go upward and erase the words or remove the give-and-take strips in the first grouping that are Non in the phrase you are singing. Later on he/she has erased/removed the words from the kickoff group, he/she must quickly give the eraser or tap another kid on the shoulder who has not had a plow and who is of the opposite sex from them (boy-girl-boy-daughter) and in a different form and that child must chop-chop and quietly go upwards and do the next group of words. You will keep singing that phrase over and over until they have erased/removed the wrong words. You may want to finish after a phrase or two and have them sing that phrase(due south) together a fourth dimension or 2 then repeat the procedure. Remind the children that in that location is no talking so that everyone can listen and hear.  If someone erases or removes the incorrect word, merely rewrite or replace the word strip on the board. You could also play this game after they know the song fairly well to test them and but have everyone sing the song through with y'all while the children erase/remove the words to run across if they tin do information technology earlier everyone is done singing.  Here are some give-and-take groups for the first poetry. I've listed the actual word in the song first in the listing, and so make sure when you post the words, yous mix the words upwards within each grouping:

Phrase 1-A: wonder, marvel, ponder
Phrase one-B: herald, messaging, announcing
Phrase 2-A: drifted, blowing, wandering
Phrase 2-B: leap, summertime, winter
Phrase three-A: shine, glisten, shimmer
Phrase three-B: brighter, lighter, higher
Phrase 4-A: daylight, moonlight, sunlight
Phrase 4-B: songbirds, robins, tweeting birds
Phrase 5-A: phone call, phone, tell
Phrase v-B: knee, lap, feet
Phrase 6-A: gone by, before, past on
Phrase 6-B: come to me, come close by, come up nearby

Here are some ASL signs you can use to assist teach them the vocal. Choose less if you want to simplify.

I wonder, when he comes over again,

Affiche version merely with a couple of
pictures different than in the file.

Will heraldangels sing?
Will earth be white with drifted snow,
Or will the globe know spring?
Iwonder if one star volition shine
Far brighter than the balance?
Will daylight stay the whole night through?
Will songbirds leave their nests?
I'g sure he'll telephone call his little ones
Together 'circular his articulatio genus,
Considering he said in days gone by,
"Suffer them to come tome."

If you are looking for a flip nautical chart, look no further. Well, maybe look a little below and there you will find it. The flip nautical chart has both verses. When I showtime taught this song I made a affiche for the first poesy. I've included that file also if you would rather practise a poster. Information technology does need to exist printed on legal size paper (8 1/2" x 14") though. I've revised some of the pictures on the poster from when I originally fabricated mine to pictures that I put in the flip chart. If you impress on legal size card stock, yous could barrel them up together, pinnacle-to-lesser, then tape them together and and so you would have a fold up poster.
